Grocery Savings

It's time again to talk about savings for the week. I had another great trip at Publix today.  All the bread was gone as the South braces for possible snow but at least I am stocked up just in case!  My best deals were Shed's Country Crock (2 2-packs) for FREE, Excedrin for .50 each, Blue Diamond almonds for .70 each, Coffeemate Creamer for .67 each, Suave Shampoo for .50 each, and Betty Crocker frosting 3 containers for FREE. Here is a list of what all I got:

Grocery Savings

It's time again to talk about savings for the week. I had what I think is one of my best trips at Publix this past weekend. My best deals were Heluva Dip (2 containers) for FREE, Arm and Hammer toothpaste for .45 each, and 32 oz chicken broth for .24 each. Here is a list of what all I got:

I also made a trip to Winn Dixie and stocked up on Ball Park Turkey Franks for $1.00 each using coupons. Winn Dixie had them on sale for BOGO.

Grocery Savings

It's time again to talk about savings for the week. I made trips to Publix and Target and did pretty well. My best deal was FREE Betty Crocker Frosting. I know, but I could not help myself. I purchased 5 containers and it cost be nothing! Since some of you may wonder what I do to feed my family during the week based on these shopping sprees, below is my menu the week. We even had a Sausage and Cheese Grit casserole for breakfast this morning. Yummm!
  • Day 1: Wendy's Homemade Chili, Peanut Butter Truffle Brownies
  • Day 2: Impossibly Easy Cheeseburger Pie
  • Day 3: Salsa Chicken and Rice
  • Day 4: Creamy Tuna Pasta
  • Day 5: Eggs, sausage, biscuits and gravy

I am finally getting closer to my goal of spending $50 a week. Life has changed. My husband lost his job last December and has not been able to find work. The good Lord has opened up an opportunity for him to go back to school for two years fully paid so I am trying my best to get the budget down.
